Gratitude

May 18, 2020

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”

I’ve been attempting to somewhat create an attitude of gratitude in our household in the past few weeks. It started with each one of us having turns talking about what was each person’s most favourite part of the day. Gratitude has helped me become more become more appreciative of even the little things. I complain less than I used to and mostly I feel as if I am a joy to be around. Today I was thankful for the warm weather. The kids wanted to play in the sprinkler after a full day of online homeschooling and it was so refreshing to see them so excited! Every day of the week feels mostly the same so today the sprinkler was a winner! I am feeling most thankful today because it’s also the last week before half term! I feel as if a huge weight has been lifted..a much needed break from being a ‘teacher’ and the struggles of trying to be patient and understanding while homeschooling.

From next week we can all be lazy, watch lots of telly, go out for long walks and enjoy indulging in copious amounts of ice cream!
