When I lay my head to rest

I think about your goodness

When I go to sleep at night

Your presence is by my side

Your goodness and righteousness flows within me,

For you know who I am

Your mercies are endless

You alone know your plans

In the quiet, you speak

In the quiet there is peace

In the quiet your words are true

Even when I think I’ve failed you

You lay down your truth

When darkness comes

And my fears arise

When your voice feel quiet

And you feel far

I will bow my head to pray

And receive your grace

Your love comes to rest

When I’m not at my best

Your peace surrounds me

For your are with me

I am blessed with your goodness and grace
